"Sarah's attic" aims at enabling children to reflect on the Jewish culture and the lives of Jewish children during the Second World War through stories and testimonies.

Without concealing the fate of European Jews assassinated by Nazi Germany and its allies, "Sarah's attic" approaches the Shoah indirectly through the destinies of seven Jewish children. It provides some keys to understanding Judaism, the Yiddish culture and a world the Shoah destroyed forever.

Yiddish stories for children "Sarah's attic" opens a window on the Jewish culture, by inviting the visitor to listen to Yiddish stories and explaining the language of everyday life.

Children in hiding, daily life during the war... "Sarah's attic" introduces children to the experiences of Jewish children during the Second World War and the Shoah.

"Sarah's attic" also provides teachers with a pedagogical space. Consisting of pedagogical notes suggesting various class room activities and a publication space, this tool can be part of lesson planning on the history of the Shoah.
