Sarah's attic aims to enable children, though stories and testimonies, to learn about the Jewish culture and the lives of Jewish children during the Second World War.

Without concealing the fate of European Jews assassinated by Nazi Germany and its allies, Sarah's attic approaches the Shoah indirectly through the destinies of seven Jewish children. It provides some keys to understanding Judaism, the Yiddish culture and a world the Shoah destroyed forever.

The life stories of Jewish children having lived in France (or Holland) during the Second World War. Sarah's attic opens a window on the Jewish culture, in inviting the visitor to listen to Yiddish stories and explaining the language of everyday life.

A pedagogical space offers primary school teachers tools enabling them to address the history of the Shoah in the classroom, in line with guidelines issued by the French Department of Education. This educational material can also be used by teachers and other pedagogical staff seeking to guide the work of children between the ages of 8 and 12 years on this subject. The approach consists of exploring themes linked to the testimonies of Jewish children during the war in order to avoid focusing on the genocide.
